The OL 730C Programmable Radiometer/Photometer is a completely microprocessor controlled, high sensitivity radiometer/photometer
which can be programmed to read directly in any user specified photometric quantity. With the appropriate detector, optical filter
and/or input optic, the OL 730C can be used to measure:
- Luminous Flux
- Radiant Flux (power)
- Transmittance
- Luminance
- Radiance
- Luminous Intensity
- Illuminance
- Irradiance
- Radiant Intensity
The OL 730C features high-sensitivity, autoranging, auto-zeroing, highly accurate readout and range-to-range linearity, 4 ½
digit plus exponent display, variable response time, IEEE-488 interface, and extremely large dynamic range.
The basic OL 730C is furnished with an internal preamplifier and has a sensitivity of 1 X 10-14 amperes. It can be used with silicon,
photomultiplier, germanium, or indium gallium arsenide type detectors. The optional OL 730C-MUX 32 Channel Multiplexer (MUX) is also
available with a built-in preamplifier that has a sensitivity of 1 X 10-14 amperes. Up to 16 multiplexers may be connected in parallel,
enabling one OL 730C to monitor up to 512 detectors. Also available is the optional OL 730-5H Ultra High Sensitivity Silicon Detector
Module (HSD) with the preamplifier built into the detector head enabling the OL 730C to measure current levels as low as 1 X 10-15
amperes.
The OL 730C can be programmed by the user to read directly in any specified radiometric or photometric optical unit. Multiple
calibration factors for different detector/filter/input optic configurations can be stored in memory. Once the desired
detector/filter/input optic configuration and associated calibration factor is selected, the OL 730C will measure and read
directly in the designated optical units. A programmable high-voltage dc power supply, the OL 730C-HV for use with photomultiplier
detectors is also available as an option.
